When Sandy, the little elephant jumped into the water her mother jumped in after her. Together they swam against the strong water to save the Rabbit family. The water was so strong, but together they fought against it and finally made it to the Rabbit family’s warren. Mama elephant dove in to see if she can see any of them. She stuck her trunk into the warren and immediately felt someone grabbing onto it. She pulled out her trunk and saw Papa Rabbit holding on to the rest of his family. She swam back to the upper surface, so they could all breathe. Papa Rabbit: “Thank you, Mrs. Elephant, you really saved our lives” Mrs. Elephant: “Oh don’t thank me, thank my brave little elephant who wouldn’t listen” With the Rabbit family on her back Mrs. Elephant and her brave little elephant swam back to the other animals on the highest top where the water couldn’t reach.
When Mrs. Elephant and her daughter, the little elephant got back with the Rabbit family, everyone was cheering for them. Not only them but the entire staff as well. Head of the staff, King Lion: “That’s a really brave act you too there little girl, weren’t you afraid something might happen? “No, mister king, sir” Sandy answered in a sweet and shy voice. King Lion: “These children have overcome us, adults, Terry knows to help others in times of need. He has helped every single one of you, but no adult was there to be there for him when he was in a time of need. The only person who felt for him was this little elephant, you should all take an example from her. And that’s why the title of The BRAVEST ANIMAL OF THE FOREST goes to her. And the title of THE TRUEST FRIEND goes to my young friend Terry. Well done you too.” Every animal was ashamed that they didn’t help Terry and his family after everything he did for them, but they were all glad he was okay too. They all asked him for an apology and promised to be there for him from then on, no matter the occasion.
